The event will take place at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK between 4th-5th September 2023, followed by a 3-day meeting scientific meeting. The meeting is open to all PhD students and post-docs working in the field of quantum technologies.
The RASIN network is providing up to fifteen international travel bursaries to attend the event, which will cover travel, accommodation, and subsistence during the 5-day event. The selection for those receiving bursaries will be made by the organising committee in a competitive process.
UK based post-docs and PhD students are encourages to apply for a place at the summer school. Due to EPSRC funding rules, UK based PhD students are not eligible for the travel bursaries.
All summer school participants will be expected to present their work at a poster session during the Summer School and can also choose to have their work submitted for consideration as a talk during the scientific meeting. We recognise that PhD students within 12-months of starting their PhD may not yet have results to present. These students are still strongly encouraged to apply and present their plans and current work to date.
Applicants are required to submit an abstract (max 1-page) with their application, which will be used in the selection process for travel bursaries.
Successful applicants for the summer school will also be registered for the scientific meeting.
The deadline to submit your application is 1st May 2023.
